What happens during a rape counselling session?

Really nervous about my first session and just wanted to know what actually happens during a counselling session (particularly the first session and specific to rape). I've never been able to say the words out loud so the first session is really daunting as I don't know if I can actually tell the counseller what's happened to me so surely it's a waste of time?

What is a VPN?
